    Zenith Z-5RS Range Report

    Hey all,

Just a quick & derty. Threw on an arm brace & a Fastfire III red dot.

Sighted in at 25 yds. Noticed while I was sighting in (3 shot groups) that the groups were tight, almost touching and as I zero'd in, the groups stayed nice and tight as they walked into the center. Started with Fiocchi 124 grain rn. Ran flawlessly. Switched to S&B 124 grain with same results. Went to standard 115 grain white box & mixed reloads- Zero issues. 150 rounds total. Thoroughly impressed.

Prior to taking her out she got a thorough clean & lube. From the factory the innards were bone dry. Greased her up nice & cycled the bolt a couple hunnert times just because. Is a pleasure to fondle. Am now really wanting a K.

My dad has one of these. He gave me his CZ Scorpion because he didn't have any interest in it.

After shooting that Zenith, I can see why. That thing is AWESOME.

Not a huge HK fan but your post is almost convincing me I want a Zenith. I almost bought one three years ago new in box for $900.00. I should have jumped on it but didn't have the discretionary income at the time. Dammit.

Did a ton of research before I bought. From everything I've read, Zenith/MKE is known for their great customer service. These firearms are licensed & built on HK tooling to HK's military specs. For all intents and purposes it is an HK.

Out of the box build quality is exceptional. So far she shoots like a dream as well. Get one while you can.

OP, that looks great with the brace! The Zenith guns are fantastic. We have a Z-5P that came from Atlantic Firearms. We built it into a post 86 dealer sample select fire gun with FA HK bolt carrier & surplus SEF trigger pack. It has seen very heavy usage for matches and client shoots. No failures ever with about 5000 rounds fired so far. They are well built and take a beating. My personal favorite in our collection. If you can find a Zenith, buy it!

Yeah but I would have to give up my first born for it here behind the curtain.
