sig p226 magazine release problems

So I have sig p226 mk25 ca verision. And i have problems with the magazine release being tough to press. And also theres a lot of friction with my mags. Is it lack of pm(I have been pming it regularly) or internal problem?

If the mags are tight going in and out ^ this would be my first suspect. Did you loose a washer taking the grips off?

PM is probably preventative maintenance in this context.

I also wonder if it could be a problem with the mag disconnect safety. I have heard of problems with it rendering the mag stuck in the gun.

Well if it's preventative maintenance he does say he has been doing it regularly. Missing grip screw washer's was one of the most common issues, I ran into with mags being tight and release issues, when I was working on Sig's regularly.

I've got zero experience with Sig's mag disconnect, so I imagine that is also a possibility.

After 4,000 rounds +, my wife's MK25 started to get tight when removing the magazine and then suddenly broke. The magazine jammed in the magwell so it was a struggle to get it out.
