          Haha.

Honestly with the Apex LCI plug and easily removed safety I don't see why anyone would spend almost double for the Non CA version.

I don't even see the allure to the Performance Center Version with all the Apex upgrades that are available. Porting isn't all that impressive personally. Sure I wouldn't mind owning one but for the mark up it isn't worth it.

          I like mine just fine.

Don't expect much as you can't use it for ccw. New one goes 400 or less and you can use it for ccw. Also Bass pro having a black friday sale for 379.

In almost every county it can be used for CCW. Every gun on my permit is off roster, and if I wanted to I could list my NTS off roster Shield 9.

OP, it depends on if you have the thumb safety or no thumb safety, and condition. Anyhwere from $550 - $700+

Discerning folks will carry the off roster version before the on roster version - they are willing to pay more for free state, non nannied, non neutered carry pistols.

I removed the mag disconnect, sear disconnect and converted my LCI to low profile for $0. Did I take a few bucks off the top of my resale value? Probably, but less than it would cost to buy the off roster Shield. Besides, I hope there's so much wear from carry it will have little resale value anyway. Functionally there is no difference between the modified CA Shield and the off roster version. I am limited to on roster handguns for the most part. But no restrictions on modifications (within reason).

Once I get outta here I will probably pick up the PC Shield which has a free state price of around $420 on sale. For the upgraded sights and trigger I think that's a good buy. The porting is a non issue for me. Again, not worth the CA markup.

Many more IAs have a 'no mods' policy than IAs with a 'no off roster' policy. So for many, mods like 'fix a nanny state pistol' are not an option.

Plus if you have done all those mods to your Pelosi Pistol, you technically don't have the roster version of the pistol anymore, so

I am in Ventura County, cannot carry your gun here so it's not worth much at all here. Subcompacts are not fun plinking guns but maybe you can find a buyer in a county where they can carry off roster guns? I can't complain much because our sheriff issues but I wish we were one of the counties where the Sheriff doesn't care about SSE guns. They really grill us here too and reinforce multiple times the whole process that we CANNOT CARRY OFF ROSTER GUNS other than C&Rs. They won't let us put our AR pistols or AOWs on our LTC either. I asked.

Yeah, well my IA allows mods but disallows off roster guns. Other IA policies aren't relevant to me but might be to others. I can fix my nanny state pistol, so I did. So what?

No, technically it is on roster. I didn't change the frame, so it is an on roster gun. I purchased it as configured to comply with the roster then modified it. Perfectly legal and is done all the time to on roster guns.
