CZ SP01 / 75 Mags, which are best

    Hello,

I just found an SP01 and want to pick up some extra magazines. Does anyone have input on the best Magazine?

I have been told the CZ brand have problems sometimes. Failures to load, are the word I heard. Is this true? Also they are $40!!! I would gladly pay it if I knew they were worth it but with failures I don't feel like throwing away $40 when there are better options.

Promag = Garbage , True or false?

Mec Gear can be found for only $21, how do these perform?

    Anything I am missing?

All input will be greatly appreciated since the mags are expensive.

Someone correct me if im wrong, but mecgar makes CZ mags. So when you buy mecgar... you're pretty much buying OEM CZ magazines.

Good info, Ha no idea. Just ordered 4 Mecgear mags for 21$ each. Hope they perform a lot better than my Hexmags that I gave away because of how garbage they are.

While true Mec Gar is the maker of the OEM CZ mags. The aftermarket Mec Gar branded CZ mags are higher quality then the OEM CZ mags. They have better springs, better followers and a better coating on the mag body. Also the Mec Gar 19 round SP-01 mags have a much better mag base then the CZ OEM 18 round mags. They are also about half the price of the inferior OEM mag, CZ likes to screw people on the cost of their mags. Don't fall for it, pay less for a much better Mec Gar mag on the aftermarket.

99 out of 100 times, Mac-Gar are equal or better than stock.

Cases where I personally know this to be true.

              CZ
              Sig
              Ruger
              1911 in both 9mm & 45

              Mec-Gar for the win.

Others have already covered that Mecgars are at least as good if not better in quality.
Let me throw something else at ya, those retard CZ 10 round mags with the short metal body and long plastic base plate. I hate those. Mecgar was not available when I got my Shadow so all I have are the CZ ones. If I ever get new mags, I'd go with Mecgar, those are full length mags, just like the standard capacity mags. They put a dimple in the mag body to stop at 10 rounds.

                go with Mecgars.

MecGar is good and they are the OEM for a few different companies.

I think my IMI Jericho mags and CZ mags are both made by MecGar

Mecgar 10rds are good to go. They have a slight polished finish, similar to the standard 18rd mags. Not sure on the anti-rust ability of them.

Time will tell for me, but just make sure that you keep these stored well.

Thanks everyone. All the advice is pointing toward me gear I purchased 4 and I will keep updated on performance.

Another vote for Mecgar CZ 75 mags here. I haven't had an issue with mine.
