Sig 320 frames illegal?

Hi all, I was interested in a Sig 320 fullsize because of the inovative modular frame system. (I know its not on the list, but second hand private party purchase they come up for sale).

I understand the firing system to be the serialized portion so that one can interchange frame sizes by purchasing frame "kits". But when I went to the Sig website, they are listed as not legal for California. How can this be as they are actually only parts, not firearms?

No different than if I orderd an aftermarket barrel or slide for my glock? Are there other suppliers of frame kits for the Sig 320 and 250 systems?

The kits on the website are not CA compliant because they contain magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammo. The frames themselves are legal. Sig makes 10 round versions of the kits as well. I've purchased them at Guns Direct in Burbank.

You need the frame kits that have the 10 round mags. Call Sig directly and they will send them to you. For some reason they don't list them on their website but they do stock them.

Gotcha, thanks for clearing that up. They didn't make that clear on the Sig website.

I have purchased a California legal kit on the Sig website. You have to put in your zip code and they will display which ones you can add to the cart.
