AFAIK S&W doesn't make a 5909. Do you mean 5906? If so they are about $300-$350 depending on frame type & condition. He can't sell the hi-cap mags unless they are rebuild kits.

These seem to be selling in the 350 - 400 neighborhood currently but are worth more IMO.

all mags are 10rounders. and im pretty sure the 5909 is a more compact version of the 5906.

Welcome to the trouble with S&W autos. They are, for some reason, some of the cheapest autos on the market when used even though, IMO, they are some of the best out there. I have had a couple and had complaints about none. My 59 is probably my second favorite gun, second only to my first (a 1911), and it has by far the best handgun trigger I've ever had.

In spite of all this, it still only goes for about $350-450, and even in the California market would only hit about $600 on a good day. There are a couple S&W autos that can hit 'big money' but they are the rarer variations, such as the smooth front 59, the oriignal 39 (not the 39-2), etc/

Like said, he's looking in the $400 range +/- $50.
