    AR15 Pistols

Question - is it possible to register an AR15 pistol still?

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with the laws...

I was one of the first dozen or so guys that picked up an AR15 pistol under the SSE rules, with the single shot block and all. I do know the SSE expired what was it 2015?

    Is it still possible now?

    How about HK SP5K?

    TIA!

Next year registration will open up and you can register both those pistols. I assume neither firearm is built off a 80%?

Yes, the pistol has to manufactured to meet SSEII, but it can be done. But since it has to be manufactured that way the only real option is an AR or AK because they can be made by a local 07 FFL.

Thanks for response! Yes my pistol is not 80%.

How does one go about obtaining a SSEII pistol?

So no luck on the HK SP5K I'm guessing?

He already owns it and got it during SSE1.0.

Both the AR pistol and the HK can be registered next year.

Actually I'm asking for a friend that wants to buy new AR pistol. How would he go about doing that?

And for myself that wants to avoid going carbine route on HK SP5K

But it sounds like for the HK SP5K it has to go carbine.

              Thanks!

Do you physically own the HK or looking to buy one?
Oh ok well that is different then about the AR pistol. SSE2.0 has to be single shot compliant. I don't know all the details about it though. Why do you say the HK has to made into a carbine?

No I'm purchasing the HK from out of state FFL and having another do the conversion. Cannot find pistol HK SP5K in the state south of $5.5k haha.

Thanks for hte info on the AR pistol - i'll research SSE2.0.

                  Thanks!

Ok ok now I gotcha. With the HK that's probably your best bet. The AR pistol has some options such as SSE 2.0 or buy from PPT. Good luck.
