I carry Gen2 and Gen3 Glocks in 9mm for 23 years now. Enjoyed shooting various models a lot. Few years ago I decided to buy Gen4's. Bought and sold TWO G34's in last few years. Decided to take a chance with Gen4 G19. Experiencing the same problem. When I insert a loaded magazine , chamber a round and fire, the FIRST round ends up being as much as 4 inches away from the group. In other works , I fire my first round using a six o'clock hold and it prints around one o'clock in the 8 ring. All the rest of the rounds make a nice , tight group mostly in the ten ring. I NEVER had anything like that happen with my duty guns( Gen2 and Gen3). Ammunition used is 147hst , distance is 25 yards. Anyone experienced the same issue? I am close to going exclusively with Gen3 .

I have a few Gen 4's and one Gen 3. I've never had this issue before. I would say work on your fundamentals, but it appears that is not the issue...
You shoot very well at that distance. -
I own four Gen 4 9mm Glocks, no problems whatsoever. Also have two gen 4 .40's and two gen 4 45's no problems with them either, if anything they shoot better then my 6 gen 3 Glocks.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

I know when it's me or when it's a gun. I tried loading 5 rounds manually and found a nice 5 shot group around 1 o'clock. All the rounds that follow the first one , make a nice group in the ten ring.Comment

I only experienced it with 2 Gen4 34's and one Gen4 G19. My Gen4 G22 did not have that issue. Only with 9mmLast edited by ap3572001; 10-29-2016, 4:14 PM.Comment

Does Gen 4 trigger pull feel the same as Gen 2 and 3?
Have you possibly done something to your Gen 2 and 3 in the past that makes them feel more "predictable"?
Same sights?
What happens if you shoot off that first flyer, then shoot a few into the group, then lower your hand and wait for a minute, then sight in, and shoot another round? I guess I am trying to figure out if it is the first round of the day, or first round after you take a break.Hobbies: bla, bla, bla... Bought a Mosin Nagant... Guns, Guns, Guns...Comment

Don't have a 34, but my two gen 4 19's do not have this problem. My gen 4 and gen 3 35's really show no differences in accuracy or anything else. I only use standard capacity mags, are you using regular mags or 10 round mags. I know it should not matter, but most problems I see with Glocks are do to the 10 round mags.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

I don't think most of the shooters on these boards are able to critique your 25 yard pistol groupings. I know I can speak for myself. Most of the responses you get will most likely be from shooters running their AR's out to 25 meters.I carry Gen2 and Gen3 Glocks in 9mm for 23 years now. Enjoyed shooting various models a lot. 6 o' clock holds work for me with wheel guns. With my Glocks, I cover the target with the front sight dot. Have another shoot it.sigpicComment
