Colt Python 6" 357 mag

I have a hand me down from my father that was purchased in the late 60's or early 70's I think around 70 or 71 It is in Very Good or Like New condition and the serial # is before they started using a letter at the beginning.

It has a 5 digit serial number starting 825__ can anyone give me an approx value of the gun? Also it is blue finish with stock walnut grips. I have the original box etc.

If I was to be so fortunate to inherit a firearm, that's about how much I'd feel. Actually it's priceless and would more than likely keep it and hand it down to my child. Just me.

I would agree that you'd be talking at least $2500-3K. Of course someone on Calguns would tell you that your Python would be as low as $1K for VG/LN condition!
