CGN google search.
Or whatever you're looking for on google followed by "calguns".
What exactly are you trying to find?Sorry, not sorry.

I agree. I have had nearly zero success using the "Search" function on the site, but Google seems to turn up most of what I am looking for. Maybe when the big advertising dollars come in after HRC election and her new gun EO implementation, we can get an improved search round here.WARNING: This post will most likely contain statements that are offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense, and or maturity.
Satire: A literary composition, in verse or prose, in which human folly and vice are held up to scorn, derision, or ridicule.

I faintly remember that if I went to www.calguns.net, without the "/forums" on it, there was a search box. I could type in, e.g., SIGP226, and find any threads that contain tat.
Now the search box seems to have disappeared. If I type in www.calguns.net, it automatically fills in the "/forums."PRAETIUM LIBERTATIS

The built-in forum search isn't usable for 3 character or less search items.
For that I recommend using google site search.
In a google search box, enter site:someSiteName.com then your search terms.

Remember that Google will not search some subforums (like OT for instance).
When using the search tool on the forum, here are some helpful tips:
Use wildcard character *
Use the term AND
Use the term OR
Use quotes for exact terms " "
For example, if I was searching all handgun marketplace ads just to see what was around me, I might use
sac* OR auburn OR lincoln OR elk* OR folsom
You get the idea
If searching for a specific gun you might use "glock 42" OR g42 OR glock42
For a glock in sacramento, it would be sac* AND glock*Last edited by SkyHawk; 10-24-2016, 4:41 PM.Comment
