So im extremely interested in the FNX .45 Tactical. i don't wanna make a clone that was made from the FNP ( striker fired ).


As you can see simply out a standard ca compliant barrel and on the forum thread it claims the mag was then modified to fit 10 rounds.



sooooo what do i tell my local gun shop about trying to buy and convert this handgun ti be ca compliant?

In a private-party transfer, these things will already be done unless you are LEO and buying from someone else that's LEO.

I assume you're not LEO since you're asking about CA compliance. Otherwise, no way to purchase this handgun brand-new unless you brought it into CA (in a CA compliant manner) and you were not a CA resident prior to the purchase. You can also acquire this firearm via intrafamilial transfer but again, the firearm must have magazines blocked to 10 rounds and a standard barrel.

The fnp is not striker fired its hammer fired and was the predecessor to the fnx. The fns is the striker fire iteration and I believe off roster as well. The only way your getting an fnx tactical legally is through the few legal bypasses around the dumb roster. Ppt being the most expensive, vertical intra familial being the most inexpensive if course you have to have a parent or cold out of state to have it gifted to you. Good luck
