    Glock got soaked

I had to jump in the pool today with my G26 in the holster. ( kids horse playing in the pool and one went under for a second). Besides a field strip do I need to do anything else. Just take it apart let it dry and lube? Or do I have to completely take it apart and dry everything?

I think you should be ok. Only problem area while wet would be the firing pin. Water in the firing pin channel will cause the firing pin to lock up due to the water pressure/hydro-locking it from moving.

Once dry, I would make sure I get some oil to protect/ treat all of the metal parts.

Otherwise, you should be good to go.

Maybe put some new ammo in your mags, just to be safe.

Sounds about right! Lots of people stick theirs in ultrasonic cleaners. I don't think the water will damage it if dried up. I'd actually rinse it in tap water first, to get rid of the chlorine or ... salt water (some pools use salt water).

I've done far worse with my G26. It should be fine after dried out. I'd replace the ammo.

Really hot water - it will help it dry afterward.

The only thing that you might want to think about is the chlorine in the pool water. I don't know if that makes a difference. Just a thought, FWIW.

Rinse. Blow it out with some compressed air if you have. Done deal.
