Love this thing but I'm pretty sure I got a lemon. From day one it was very inconsistent where I would get 1 to 2 full power shots, then a weak one, then another full power shot. I could never get the full 15 shots that they advertise. Nonetheless I really like this thing and want to get it fixed or replaced.

Read the thread on these a while back where it took a bit to get the company to respond to a broken one. ( http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...light=coolfire ). I attempted to contact them and it took a month and a second attempt to get them to respond. They said they would look into it and get back to me. Well it's now been 6 or so months and 4 attempts without resolve.
Anybody else buy one and or having issues with it?

Really hate to. In theory it's one of the best tools for training I have come across. Just sad that for whatever reason they don't seem to be standing behind their product.

I say this because I owned one. I bought it with my Amex, used it the first night, great, used it the second night, and it started having issues. I called/emailed numerous times and got no response for 10 business days. I threw it in the trash and did a charge back. That company is a complete joke.

I looked them over at SHOT last year and walked away. Even their demo guns didn't work very well.

The guys in the video appear experienced, smart, far more patient than me, and thoroughly ticked off.

I will stay away from it.

So, we ended up getting a refund some time after that video went live. It took a while. About the time we realized our triggers and parts were effected by using the CoolFire, I told Nick to stop calling them and to document communications via Email. (That's about the time they avoided communicating altogether)

So, Nick works in the outdoor industry, he's a rock climber, and just a super mellow guy. Nick is a USMC Veteran and his nickname was "Hippie" in the Corps. I would describe him as nonconfrentational. I've almost thrown blows with someone who insulted his wife before, and he was very much about defusing the situation. I was angry, he was not.

The lady, Marsa, at CoolFire accused him of being demanding and threatening when asking for a resolution or refund. COMPLETELY NOT in his nature to be either. We broke both CoolFire units within days of receiving them, and each time it took weeks or months to get any communication or resolution.

You may be better off going through your CC company, but it might also be interesting to see what CoolFire has to say when you ask for a refund. They may ignore you. They may call asking for a refund on a product that has obviously failed you "demanding".
