Regarding 9mm, I was thinking in general. Stores, local law enforcement, and amongst gun owners. It would seem logical that the majority of gun owners would own at least 1 gun in 9mm.

Same reason we recommend first time buyers to pick 9mm as their first centerfire, because its cheapest and most plentiful. Well, pre Obama at least.

Dont worry about it, these excercises are always fun and entertaining. As many as I've posted in these types of threads, I've noticed my answers are usually always different depending my mood or taste at that particular time.
