I did not "plan" on buying another gun today....

...but, for $409 new on the shelf, I had to do it. Never thought I would have a on-roster Witness....

I liked my Witness but just didn't like it in .40. So what is this one?

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

I saw one of those at a store recently. Admittedly, I didn't know it existed and had no interest in anything Rock Island but I'll be damned if I wasn't impressed by it. I actually might pick one up soon. I was told parts interchange as well however I do not know if that is factual.

Same here when I saw one. Well, I have one now and it is a nice gun. The single action trigger is actually very nice, probably a tad better than my SP-01's. The double action is not so much. Got it from Guns Direct in Burbank about two or so months ago.

                        Congrats OP! Enjoy it.

This one is a 9mm, and Discount Gun Mart in SD had it sitting there for about 10 days mixed in with the CZ's. They don't stock them, apparently it was a cancelled special order. I'm not sure why Turners, DGM and others don't stock it since its on the roster.... well it's on the roster as a AP9.... name was changed years ago to MAP1.... but same exact gun.

Oh dang! I just bought a gun there. Well, my SD9VE is on sale for $299, so not really a loss.
