    SSE and magazine question .

One of the guys in the gym who is a bit younger that I ( I am starting to feel my age. LOL) , asked me a couple of questions that I am not sure how to answer.

1). Do all or most 10+ capacity CURRENTLY MADE handguns have FACTORY 10 round magazines made for them?

2).What current popular off roster handguns were made after SSE stopped? And if they are 10+ capacity , does it mean that NO 10 round magazines are being made for them?

3).What type of sight do You put on Glock GEN4 MOS??? ( Its like asking me about latest IPhone LOL).

    Thanks.

    1) I would say most new handguns made have 10 rounders available. There are many that don't though.

    2) All of them? They are still producing older guns that were never on roster and still coming out with plenty of new/updated models every year. At least CA is a large enough market to make old, on roster guns profitable. If CA was a small state, we'd probably be SOL. It's up to the manufacturer if they make limited mags. If you are lucky enough to own an off roster gun that was made after the end of SSE, blocked mags are usually available from places like Jestice Arms.

    3) Any sight made for a Glock. I don't think there's a difference between Gen 3-4 for sights.

you can have any any mag blocked out of state to 10 rds so that it can be used.

The G4 MOS uses a reflex red dot sight instead of a traditional rear sight

Ok. Thanks. Gen4 MOS can use EITHER right? Reflex sights or regular sights? Guns that were made AFTER SSE , still have 10 round magazines made for them, or only the blocked ones?

I am confused on what SSE has to do with the magazines. SSE only applied to California and now doesn't exist anymore. CZ scorpion was made after and yes they make 10's. The sig MPX was after SSE and not sure. Any AK or AR pistol is still made after SSE. SSE is similar to how bullet buttons work (legally).

Glock mags are Glock mags. As far as I'm aware, any Glock mag will work with any generation of Glock. i.e. Any Glock 17 will accept any Glock 17 mag. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

SSE had nothing to do with magazines or manufacturers. If a company decides it's profitable enough to make limited mags for limited states, they will. If not, you'll have to buy them from a source that blocks them to 10. Glock currently makes factory ten round mags for all their models.

Yes because California isn't the only state with mags capacity restrictions.

No. because those guns are still legal in states that have 10 round capacity limitations.

There are companies both in and outside of CA that will block normal magazines to 10 rounds so that they can be legally purchased.

Other states besides CA forces their citizens to use deminished capacity magazines. I would bet their is a 10 rounder for nearly anything.
