      Correct.

      I bought one last December.

While generally true, think of "pocket guns" just as such - something that can be carried in a pocket when other means of carry won't do. The idea is not to pretend it's optimal, but that it's "better than nothing" which would be an alternative when a bigger gun cannot be carried.

We live in a hot climate and pocket guns were practically invented because of the areas like ours.

Wow. I'm glad I picked one up last year too. It seems that little by little more of my guns are becoming off-roster, which is a shame.

My carry guns are two micros and one standard. I'm not going to engage at long distances.

I put the front sight halfway over the rear notch and hold at 6 oclock.
The steel targets are at angles shooting range and vary in size. They are smaller than a deer size though!
The titianium model referenced earlier is made by Taurus.

What ever you carry, practice with it.

"Our" models are still listed (until next year?), but current production made a change and is not listed. There was a thread a couple of months ago about it. Riflegear still had a couple of CA-compliant 36 in stock at the time.

But yes... as time goes on, many of our guns will become unreplaceable should they be stolen or damaged.

I agree with this. Currently I carry a G30s in a Galco Matrix OWB holster more than anything else. Next up is a G42 in an IWB holster for super discreet or with a trigger sleeve for pocket gun. When I update my CCW I'll be adding a G43 to compliment the G42, adding a G29 to compliment the G30s and may add a .44mag to compliment or replace the .357. RivCo allows for 6 guns, so nice to have options.

I like the smaller 9mm pistols -- G43, PPS, LC9s -- I wouldn't be engaging at 50-200yds. In CA it'll be difficult enough to justify self-defense at more than 7-10yds.... can't imagine justifying it at 50-200yds

I was thinking of the san Bernadino murderers who planned on causing traffic jams on the 91 and shooting at cars from a hillside.http://www.naturalnews.com/052457_Sa...ay_attack.html
