Glock 31 or Glock 20?

I have a Glock 32 and love the power and accurracy of the 357sig. I want to upgrade to a bigger frame and maybe a bigger caliber. I will be gettting a reloading Lee Turret kit so, price of ammo is not an issue. I only shoot about 100 rounds per range visit.

357 sig= I have it and just wish I had a larger frame like the G31 for the added sight radius.

10mm= Haven't shot it, but have heard great stuff about it. If I ever go hunting it would make a good side arm. I now like the full size frame of the G20/G21 so size is ok.

The big problem I have is that I shoot 9mm alot more accurately. I use a 9mm barrel in the 32c and I like the 9mm for the added accuracy, but the 357sig brings tears of joy to my eyes...

What to do...

Get all three. Buy a Glock 17, 31 and 20....that's the best solution.

The bigger G31 will give me more speed than the G32.

The G20 has less velocity than the G31, but it produces more energy right?

The 357sig offers little muzzle rise, but I feel the recoil. In the 45acp the muzzle rise is noticeably greater. Does the 10mm produce muzzle rise similar to the 40S&W/45acp or is it flat shooting like the sig?

Can anyone confirm if the 10mm is snappy like a 40S&W or flat shooting like a 357sig(not snappy, but recoils some).

The .40 S&W is derived from the 10mm. It uses a shorter case and has less powder. They share the same bullets- only case length and primers are different.

Rent a 30 and 20 at a range to judge for your self. Just keep in mind range 10mm is essentially downloaded a little above .40s&w.

The original load data from Norma puts the 10mm in between the .357 and .41 magnum spectrum.

I cannot confirm, but seems possible that if you got a G20 you could get a G30 barrel, mag, and captive recoil spring and be good to go.

And yes, in my experience the 10mm has a flat trajectory... at least in my 1006.

Second vote for a G20SF. The .357 Sig (full size Glock) felt VERY snappy. The 10mm seems to have less felt recoil.

If you're into accuracy and want a bigger caliber, I'd recommend the Glock 21 SF in .45 ACP. It is reported by many sources, including Glock, to be the most accurate full size model in the line-up. Mine shoots 5 shot, 1 hole groups quite often.

Get the Glock 20 or 20SF (which fits your hand better) and a replacement barrel in .357SIG.

While you are at it, since you are reloading, get a replacement barrel in 9x25mm (10mm necked down to 9mm), which is the big brother to the .357SIG (.40S&W necked down to 9mm).

The Glock 30 barrel will not work in a Glock 20.
Barrel is too short for the Glock 20 slide.

Glock 20 = full size 10mm
Glock 30 = compact .45ACP

buy all of them or go wrap your hands round the grip and see if it fits. the 10's where little thick.

G20. You might be able to get a .357 sig barrel for it but I could be wrong. I know you can get a .40sw barrel for the G20.

I have both the G31 and the G20. The grip is a little thicker on the G20 but if grip size is not much of an issue with you I would get the G20. It is a much more versatile gun. You are able to shoot bullets that range in size from 135 grains all the way up to 230 grains. It is much more powerfull than the G31. Doubletap makes a 135 grain bullet that travels at 1600 fps while a 357 sig will shoot a 125 grain bullet at 1450 fps. With the 200 or 230 grain bullets the G20 is a suitable hunting and woods protection sidearm. You can also drop in a 357 sig or a 40 S&W barrel in and fire other calibers. The only thing I like better about the G31 is that the frame is a little smaller and it feels a little more comfortable in my hands.

I appears the way to go is Glock 20. I held one this past weekend with pierce rubber grip and it felt great.

The Glock 20 can shoot 357sig and 40 S&W. I think I would just keep it as a 10mm and load it with less speed and weight when I feel like having less power. Similar to Georgia Arms reduced recoil ammo.
