    Engraving / Etching over Duracote

Has anyone done this and is there a way to avoid having to refinish the gun? I imagine it will expose the bare metal beneath. I am looking for the deeper engraving that look factory.

    I'm in San Diego county.

    Thank you,

    Scott

Yes, contact Charlie at C4 Precision.

He uses temperature adjustments to match the color (blacks, gray's, etc.). He is excellent, and did two of my father-in-laws 1911's after cerakote.
