    9mm handgun suggestions....

    Asking for a friend....he's a lefty, and is looking for a small 9mm handgun that would have ambi magazine release feature.

    What's out there?

    G43 mag release is reversible. Hk P2000sk has ambi paddle release and is on roster with v1 LEM DAO trigger or v3 DA/SA with decocker on the rear of the slide. P2000sk also has ambi slide release.

        Something to consider (while they search for an ambi or left hand capable handgun).

        Even righties benefit from training to shoot safely with their left hands.

          How small are we talking about? Xd has ambi mag release. I think the compact and sub compact are on the roster.

            Most sig sauers have reversible magazine releases. The P239 should be on the roster (it's listed as a sub-compact, but it's still bigger than a "pocket pistol")

                Also consider the Walther PPS M1, (after a G43 which is reversible of course) which comes from the factory with ambi mag release.

                My daughter is a lefty and she loved the PPS M1 (classic) ...

                  generally...
                  compact = 4 inch
                  sub compact = 3 inch bbl

                  which do you mean?

                  agree with the PPS for a sub compact. also P2000sk. or P30sk

                        I'm left handed and use my trigger finger to release the magazine.

                          that's what he has been doing...but since he's considering a new pistol, a ambi-mag release is a contributing factor in his selection process.
