Questions about Polymer 80 Glock project

I noticed that my rear pin (palm grip area) would not fit in the hole so I milled it out a bit more and it fit , however it was short on both ends (.118in) and now the slide gets sticky (if not stuck) when in the locked back position and the trigger does not reset on its own. Im assuming the trigger block that houses the spring /disconnector is shifting to one side during the action since that pin isnt holding it in place tight enough.

With that said , is there a pin another size up from another glock I could fit into this area for a better fitment? Something bigger to make up for the milled off material and .2 in more in length?

I had these on my G17 and they worked great but I had trouble fitting these into the Polymer 80

Do you have a pin guage set to get the exact measurement of the hole?. When you have then just buy a rod diameter that size and cut to length.

I dont have a gauge set but I have calipers , in theory could I measure the current pin size and buy a rod a mm or two up in size ? Like trial and error?till i find one that fits

since im at .118 in im thinking a may be able to get a 1/8 rod to work , if not a 9/64

You can order a second Locking block pin and use that in the Spectre frame. The locking block pin is a little longer than the rear housing pin, and works for this purpose. There are also sellers on ebay that sell a longer rear housing pin (usually in a set of 4 stainless pins), but the locking block pin is just a tad longer.

I used a second locking block pin on my polymer build. Also a lot of the polymer builds need a shim between the trigger housing and the frame. I added one shim other people have put two or more.

Yes, but it will work on the Spectre. It's a little longer than the gen 3 rear housing pin. But, the locking block pin is a bit longer than the gen4 pin, so I think it works better.

That longer pin is for gen 4 glocks with the back straps.

And it is exactly the one you want for the Spectre. I use Glock factory Gen 4 backstrap pin on my two Spectres, they are perfect and the part is $1.50

OP if your trigger housing is rocking back and forth in the pocket, you may need to shim it with a slice from a credit card. I had to do this on one of my Spectres. And I used a tapered diamond needle file to gently enlarge the holes because the drill bits they provide are a tad undersized.

That should be fine. Compare the long pin in that set with your original locking block pin. Whichever works best for you should be fine. In my set, the locking block pin was just a tad longer, and that's what i went with.

^^ the longer pin from the gen 4 glock actually fixed the trigger issue and the reset. The only problem I have now is the slide gets sticky that last 1in -1/2 . Its gets stuck before the slide lock/release catches it. Do you guys think the credit card shim would help that out?

I had the same issue. Turns out I had tightened the locking block screws too much and they were grabbing/rubbing on the barrel.
