I got one in 4.0 9mm and just love it. The trigger is a little heavy but breaks clean. If I was to do anything with it, I would probably upgrade the sites to something tritium. Something like trijicon HD sites but that's about it. Maybe get extra mags for it with some extra mag extensions. Just shoot it and get use to the way it feels..

It should shoot anything you put in it a long as you don't limp wrist it.

Dont mess with the recoil springs. Its a well designed fine piece of equipment just the way it is. Just shoot it.

Most people think theirs a liability risk if you start farting around with a carry gun. Its somewhat true but a lightened trigger pull on a CCW gun wont do you much good.

I have the XDS 3.3 45acp. To me the grip on the gun is a little too aggressive. I installed a Talon grip which really tamed that and made the gun more shootable. Other than that it's stock.
It's not an upgrade but since you want to carry your gun look into a comfortable holster. The XDS is kind of heavy for a it's size. I also a Kahr CM9 which is weighs about 6oz. less than a XDS 9mm and you can tell the differance.

Thank you guys! I'll upgrade the sights for sure, I'd like night sights. Any ideas? The rest I'll leave it stock, good call on the grips railroader.

                        Here you go.
                        Enjoy.
Ask me anything you want and I'll try to answer it.
First off, I am not an armorer in any way. That being said, someone had asked me in another thread if I wouldn't mind showing just what it was that I polished on my trigger. I'm not saying I know how to do this. I'm only saying that this is what I did. The first thing most people work on is the...

It's not a glock. You can't limp wrist it very easily.

Some IAs require guns on your permit to be stock with some minor exceptions like sights and grip tape.

Rubberized Talon grips and Pearce pinky extension helped make it more comfortable for me. I have been debating on a lighter trigger but I think I just need more range time to get more proficient with the stock trigger.
Thanks, and as we say in Spanish,
