    Need Gunsmith for Browning Hi-Power

Anyone know of a reputable gunsmith in CA who does good work on Hi-Powers? I'd like to have my Mk III sent in and get a trigger job and the mag disconnect safety removed.

He's not in Calif. (he's in Arizona), but Don Williams at the ActionWorks is superb. He's also a great gentleman.

Perhaps I was a very fortunate guy, but I removed the mag safety from my mk3 myself in about 5 minutes. The trigger pull was already good and with the mag safety removed it is a dream. I drove out the trigger retaining pin, took the guts out, separated the safety plunger from the rest, and then put everything back in again. No sweat.

Yup - removing the mag safety is no big deal. Now, tuning the hammer / sear engagement, I wouldn't recommend that just anyone take a file and sandpaper to it...

Hmm . . . perhaps I will try it myself and see how I like that trigger pull before I commit to sending it in. Thanks for the suggestion smle & Turbinator.
