Big boom and lot's of high torquing recoil. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to shoot and very accurate, but you've got to hold the gun tight because it does torque sharply upward in your hand - and i've got the rubber grips with finger grooves! The 1/2" holes it punches in the paper is definately a sight to be seen. I have the .44 Mag barrel also, and honest enjoy shooting it more. But the great thing about the DE is the fact that you can change out barrels in about 5 sec. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like to know. -
There is little in life that I enjoy more than firing my .44 DE, and I'm certain I'd feel the same way about a .50.
Jim's right - if you limp-wrist the gun when firing, the upward kick makes it difficult for the recoil motion to properly chamber another round. You gotta hold the bastard tight but not so much so that you alter your aim.
I also have the Hogue wrap-around grips, which are definitely an improvement over the factory grips. One thing that is KEY KEY KEY is playing with the trigger adjustment mechanism to find the right trigger pull for you. After a couple of days of dry firing and adjusting, I found the perfect trigger setup and man does she fire BEAUTIFULLY now.
Here's my Italian brother-in-law shooting it over Chirstmas - he was in love with it when he saw it at my house, and almost cried when he handed it over after shooting it. He doesn't speak any english, but didn't need to as just about anyone understands what it is like to blow away a good chunk of cash on .44 mag ammo with such a crazy-heavy-overblown-terribly joyous gun.

I want one too but only in gold plate like Call of Duty 4Originally posted by halifaxHow about the next time a kid gets suspended/expelled for simply drawing a picture of a gun. I see a federal civil rights lawsuit against the school district for violation of 1st & 2nd amendments.

Novelty gun. The only practical use is hunting, especially with the extended barrels.
If you want a real big boomer with better ergonomics, get a SW 500 or 460 or a magnum research revolver in the same. Both of those calibers dwarf the ballistics of the 50AE.Expert firearms attorney: https://www.rwslaw.com/team/adam-j-richards/

Dwarf?? Relatively low recoil and SEVEN rounds of fun....
7 round mag in a semi auto - yes, novelty but you have to own one.

To get the factory gold plated it will have to be NeRF'd, correct? Is the gold tiger-striped Eagle too much? http://www.magnumresearch.com/images/finish_DE_TGTS.jpgComment

Cost of ammo is a big consideration. I always wanted one but I know I would never shoot it.Comment
