    Ar pistol lowers

Hello my fellow calguns members. I haven't found a thread about pistol lowers for 2017. Does anyone no if we have to register our pistol lowers? Will we not be able to sell it next year? Just wants someone input. I have few arpistols. And if I have to register. Might just let them go. No point in keeping after that. If anyone has any input about the pistol lowers please lmk don't want to have paperweights for next year lol

As AR pistols can't be made featureless, it stands to reason that they would have to be registered, even if unbuilt. Waiting for the regs/rules to be published, though...

If the project is unfinished by 12/31/2016, then you will not be able to finish it in California, as that would be manufacturing an Assault Weapon.

You should be able to "maglock" your AR15 pistols with the new designs that have come out. I believe you also said you had an AK pistol, unfortunately no one has made a new design for AK's to my knowledge.

Is a stripped lower an AW? If so what features make it an AW? The law says you have to possess it before 1/1/2017. Not saying your wrong or the person you quoted is because we all don't know yet. Just something to think about.

I think he may be referring to the way 80% lowers built into another form other than Single Shot are an AW since its kind of off roster

I honestly dont know , this whole law is a Clusterf*** mess of jibber jabber

What will happen if I keep my arpistols and akpistols as is next year. I can't take it to the range since it's not registered as "aw"?

Are both the AR and AK built off 80's?

No. Registered as pistol. Lowers were from manufacturers

Then atleast for the AR type pistols you can maglock them with this for example (and bypass registration):
