Shoud I get rid of my Beretta .32 Tomcat?

I went to the range today. Fired 100 rds of 10mm, then I fired my little Tomcat that I just got a month ago...wanted to break it in with another 200 rds. When I shot it after shooting my Glock 20 I almost started laughing, because it was such a drastic change...I realized that the little Tomcat that I bought because it was cute (I've never had or shot a .32) and thought it might make a nice little pocket gun was really probably useless for self defense. Should I get rid of it?

If you do decide to dump it, and live in the Sacramento or Stockton vicinity, shoot me a PM.....I might be interested.

Thirty twos are just plain fun and it did make you laugh.

Not the best weapon for SD but possibly better than a sharp stick.

Next time shoot the .32 first.

If you have any kind of use for it, keep it, if not let it go.

If could be the hidden under the coffee table gun if no kids, etc.

I shoot .357s for a bit, then go to my .22s and back, all for fun.

James Bond shot .32s, right? If it's good enough to kill international assassins, it's good enough for you!

.32 killed Hitler, but it was a close range shot.

Hardly "useless" for self-defense if you can't carry anything larger.

With that said, if you don't have a CCW permit, then yeah, kind of useless.

I have pondered the same question. Neat piece but ammo is expensive, I never carry it and haven't shot it in over 12 years. Its also thicker than and weighs about as much as my Kahr PM9.

This much I do know for sure.... One quick hit with that .32 will do far better than 3 quick misses with the G20. It's not useless if you find it handy to consistently have with you. First rule in a gunfight is have a gun.

My dad paid nearly $600 for one a couple of years ago, after he gave his Jetfire to my sister and couldn't find a replacement. I think he's shot it once or twice. He carries it occasionally.

My opinion is that one shouldn't sell a gun just because it's of a smaller caliber. They each have a purpose. I like the idea of an "under the coffee table gun."

                            Nothing wrong with a .32.

$600 I thought I got ripped when I paid around $400 for mine.
