For the extra round. Also, the Hyve extension gives me a full grip, entire pinky included. Makes it much more shootable. The extra bulk doesn't bug me because this is my spare mag anyways, not in the gun while concealed. The most important reason is that it can now stand up on it's own on a flat surface as seen in EspoMan's picture above.

Range report.

250 rounds through the mags. Zero issues.

200 rounds of 115gr blazer and 50 rounds of HSTs 124gr.

I noticed I am more accurate with it now also because of the additional griping area.
