    G43

I am moving to CA from Texas and I have a Glock 43. I've been doing research and I found out that the Glock 43 isn't on the roster, but the Shield is (because come on...that makes since). I am able to bring my Glock 43 into CA as long as I register it. My question is am I able to sell it once I'm in CA or does that raise a bunch of red flags? Thanks ahead for any info.

Yes you can sell it in California once you have a CA ID.

I'm not sure if I'd want to sell it or not, how much are they going for over there?

What type of red flags are you concerned about?

Be sure to buy whatever you think you may want before moving here.

A premium over what you paid. G-43 can be easily sold for $600+ in California.

If moving TO California, I'd buy all the off roster guns I could afford before moving here.

I'm just not very familiar with the gun laws in CA. I'm still reading up on a lot, but it seems like a big loophole that I could potentially buy a lot of off roster guns and once I move sell them for a profit.

Not sure why you have to sell it. There are plenty of off roster guns here.

Careful with your wording, some may misconstrue that as an intent to engage in business of dealing firearms without a license.

                        Doing that would be illegal.

The personal firearm importer exemption for new residents only allows them to legally import handguns they intend to keep. [PC 17000(a)(7)]

Thanks, that's what I was curious about. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

You could get a decent penny for it. Mostly because its considered a legally owned off roster firearm. The G43 came out after Single Shot Exemption went away.

This is frustrating because my wife carries a G42, if I could buy her a G43 to roster legally I would in a second.

Another example of how rights are being infringed upon. Forced to carry a 380 due to some BS law that dosent allow us to the g43.

You could get off of Glocks nuts and get a Kahr PM9 for a 9mm carry, you're not out of options to the point where you can't carry a 9mm is all I'm saying.
