Glock 36 or 30s

Im new to this forum and this is my 1st thread. I know the pros and cons of each. I'd like to hear from you guys on which you'd prefer.

Can't speak for the 30s, but I love my 30. Is a shooter, holds 10 rounds and is basically the same size as a G19

I'd get the 30S due to the fact that the 36 is too slim. Great for CCW, but I'm not CCWing in this state.

Love my 36 for carry. Slim and light. Not the best range gun though.

As an owner of all three, the 36 is easier to carry IWB, but for extended range sessions/classes, it for me is a bit much. The 30 gives a tad bit extra mass for the above, and is much more easier to manage due to it's larger grip frame. That brings us to the 30S, which IMHO after carrying/driving around with for some time is a very good compromise. It has proven to be every bit as accurate as a pair of 21's, and I prefer the narrow slide profile. Getting a really good quality holster last time I shopped was an issue, as they are not all the same. For that I prefer NSR over in Chino Valley, AZ; Dave makes to my mind the very best for any Glock, period.
I also have a Blade Tech, specifically for the 30S, and while it is decent and fits, it is not as good as the NSR.

the 30SF is a soft shooter due to the mass of the slide. It is a little on the thick side so it is not for IWB. It is a very accurate gun for its size. I also like the 10 round capacity. It can take G21 12 round mags were legal. Good Luck

Another vote for 30s. Capacity over comfort

I hear what you are saying, and as my previous posting upholds the 30S, I will say from experience that anything that is not comfortable will shortly be left behind where it is of no use. A smaller weapon of lesser capacity that is more comfortable will be there when the bigger model that dug into your side all day, caused you a nasty case of back and leg pain, is harder to conceal, etc. and is locked up in the car when you need it most.

I love my 30s as a range gun but for carry I'd rather just take the 26. For me the 36 is a weird compromise.

I have a 30S. I have shot the 36, but don't own one.

30S shoots very well, accurate, handles nice. Hell....LAPD likes it. The biggest downside is the weight when its fully loaded (45 acp rounds are heavy). The holster choice is very important (if its a CCW piece).

36 has a small bite to it (recoil), but its not bad. Easier to carry, lighter, nice CCW piece.

Both are very reliable. I went with the 30S because whatever outside waistband carry I use I can hide both. So I went with extra rounds. What do you plan to do with it?

I got a 30s. I have it mounted in a single pistol safe behind my headboard. And I sleep soundly every night.

I have both, I like the G30S. G36 only if printing under a shirt is a concern, like in a business setting. But in that case the G43 is hard to beat.
