    CGW is awesome .,

First off the customer service is top notch . David is a joy to talk to . The work is amazing . My action is superb . Couldn't be any happier with the quality of service performed . These guy rock . Defensive carry package , race hammer, short reset , it's like 1911 action clean on the trigger . 3 lbs . To be honest the factory trigger was so bad I would not shoot it . Was almost 9 lbs . The action feels like a totally different gun .

Can't go wrong with CGW! I've got an SP01 that is getting turned into a Shadow with them right now, should be home early next week. I've also got a 75 Compact that David built with the Def Carry Package and a 75SA that got turned into a Copperhead! My 97b is going out next month....yes, its a sickness

Here is the post that I made when I first got it. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1103120

My Cajunized 75 Compact is on the right, love it as well! The SP01 on the left was built by CZCustom and the 75B is Cajunized, those 2 are my buddies and they are great shooters as well.

It's a bummer that in CA one cannot carry such a gun. Most (all?) sheriffs require "no modifications."

Yeah that is terrible. In my county there is no such stipulation and my carry guns all have upgrades. My Glocks have Charlie Vanek triggers, my Shield has an Apex trigger, and the only gun on my CCW that is not modified is my Sig P238.

OP, I have a couple of questions for you. How long did it take to get the gun back from CGW? And have you shot it yet? If you have give us a range report please.

They got my SP 01 on May 27th and called me on July 27th, I'll get it next week, so they are running about 8 weeks right now. Of course, the turn around depends on what exactly you have done. Refinishing takes a bit longer, but trust me, the wait is worth it!

                            That's ridiculous.

I'm in..... czoutofthewoodwork.net might work. CGW is awesome to say the least. I didn't send mine in, but their parts and knowledge are fantastic.
