Mech Tech for Glock

Does anyone know if a Glock dropped into a Mech Tech CCU makes it an assault weapon under the pending laws coming down the pike in CA? Thanks

Nobody will really know what all of this means until they issue the final legislation in October I've heard. But my guess is that the answer is yes. But don't make decisions based on my guess.

Mech Tech for Glock

I thought I understood the Mech Tech issue under the current laws but with the new laws coming, I have no clue.

Seems that if you register it as an AW, you can go back and forth between a pistol and rifle, no need to grind down the mag release, etc.

The other main question I have is, will we legally be able to purchase a Mech Tech after Jan 1?

Nope.
Doing that would violate CA SBR laws. (weapon made from a rifle)
Being a RAW does not exempt it from CA SBR/SBS laws.

Under CA SBR laws...
Once made into a rifle, it needs to stay a rifle.
