Quick Question

My brother and I are looking to buy a muzzle loading pistol. I would buy it online, have it shipped to me. (he is really interested in Muzzle Loaders)

I am 18, and he is 15. Could I legaly take it to the range with him or not? And can I even buy a ML Pistol not being 21?
