H&K P7 off date for DOJ certified list

I must be getting brain dead but I thought that the P7 expiration date on the DOJ safe handgun list was 9-10-06. I just looked and it was 9-10-07. Am I confused or was the day changed? H&k supposedly has stopped production so its probably mute anyway. Just curious.

They must have renewed it. I was trying to figure out how to get >$1300 for the gun and $3000 for a Mac Pro this month. Still not sure which one to put off, although the computer won't be illegal anytime soon.

I just noticed that too. I guess they extended it. I was kind of amazed that a few of the USP Expert pistols were still on the list even though they are out of production.

          1300 is a competative price

Best local price I have found is 1550 less tax and DROS. Maybe in the next life.

            WOAH, that's nuts!

I just picked up a beautiful 1995-manufactured P7M8 from a guy in Florida.

Just under $1,100. (w/original case and manual)

H&K has previously stated they are not discontinuing the P7 series altogether; instead, they still plan to run "limited edition" series, such as the special commerative P7 models (with the smaller trigger guard) and may continue to produce various P7s for agencies that request them, which means "extras" make it to retail; I have also heard production of the P7M13 will likely continue, with some retail sales, now that the national AW ban is dead.

All the above is still a "maybe" from H&K.

              .

I own four P7M8s, two of which are consecutive serial-numbered Jubilees. Here's one of my standard ones in hard-chrome with Nill grips. It has a KF (1995) datecode, and it was bought NIB for $900.

As always, Mr. Lunde, beautiful photos - those grips are aaaawesome - both fit and finish.
Great stuff!! I always enjoy your photos.

                    HK Factory Refurbished Police P7s...

Just because they are no longer in standard production does not mean that HK won't be selling them periodically.

6 months ago saw one at the Ventura show for $900 NIB but did not buy it.

I still feel very sad about it. Very sad.

don't know what's more absurd...the guy selling it for $900, or you not buying it.
