Thanks, before I ever went to the range I took a two day handgun course that really helped, with proper grip, stance, and most importantly eliminate my flinch. My flinching was the biggest hurdle and really threw off my accuracy dramatically, to the point I couldn't hit a target 7 yards away. The instructor found it by mixing some dummy rounds in to my magazine. Once I overcame the flinch it was a night and day difference.Originally posted by gwgn02G-shock, a good way to tell the time, and better way to tell the female variety you are unworthy mating material.Comment

Keep your Glock, and get the CZ too. Shoot both for six months and then decide if you want to part with one or the other.I suspect you will learn faster from owning and shooting both. They are very different pistols. Finances permitting i would keep and continue to shoot the Glock for a while. Aside from that there are allot of other assets to having more than one, they need friends to hang out with in the safe so they do not get lonely.
Just a heads up CZs are know to multiply.sigpicComment

Have you looked into getting a Glock 19?
I just drossed a Glock 34 from a calgunner, and that seems like an exciting option.Comment

If this was shot at 50 yards you should be buying more glocks. Some.people cannot shoot like this at 15 yards with any pistol......For the two guys above that was rolling their eyes at me hitting the center section of the paper target, here isthe results of my Glock at 50 yards, about 70% shots made the middle section.
For those of you experienced at shooting, you'll laugh at my 1-2 feet grouping lol, this is my 3rd time shooting a handgun though, trying to get better.
I'm the left, my friend never shot a handgun before and he's on the right. We both shot 30 rounds each for the paper target in the picture.

Really? Thanks for making my ego feel better lol, I've seen people post groupings in inches at that distance, one day many years from now I hope to get that 1-2feet grouping down to inches. My opinion of Calguns in my head is I picture most of you having a dozen handguns and like cowboys hipfiring targets at that distance lol.
The guy to my right had a larger gun than my Glock 17 and he was hitting the 100 yard gong like 8 out of 10 times. I tried over a 100 rounds trying to hit the gong and not once did I hit it.

You can get a Glock 36, that has a 6 round capacity right?Comment

Sorry, but I'm skeptical. 50 ft, yes. Even with a red dot, that would be extremely tough to do at 50 yds and a Glock, especially with stock sights, I just don't buy it. Was it rapid fire also? [emoji15]
And a newbie with 500 rounds under his belt? Either he is full of it, doesn't know a yard from a foot, or we have a naturally talented shooter.
Or I am just jealous[emoji35]

Are you serious? My grouping was like 1-2 feet wide and up/down, I plan on going again within the next few weeks because I just got a new scope for my AR15 I want to sight in, you're welcome to join me and shoot my rifles and Glock, I'll be bringing out my new Kriss Vector as well.Sorry, but I'm skeptical. 50 ft, yes. Seriously, saying I don't know a foot from a yard??? I was at the 100 yard section at Angeles Shooting Range right next to the clay shooting. I was there this past Monday, I was the newb that brought along my friend and his two sons shooting for the first time, 10 year old and 15 year old, we looked lost but the range officers were very friendly and helpful and constant reminders to leave the action open during ceasefires, I forgot his name but there was a skinny hispanic RO that was about 5'6 that stood behind us the whole time, he saw my shooting but I spent 90% of my time showing the two boys how to shoot. We tried 15 yards out (with the 10-year-old trying to be rambo repeatedly rapid firing and the RO telling him not to over the intercom and with my constantly reminding him to take his time), then 25, then 50, then tried 100 yards with the metal gong using the Glock and failed miserably and switched to AR15s. On one occasion the 10-year-old dropped my AR, broke my 3x magnifier and dropped the AR on the mag so it got jammed in, the RO was kind enough to help wedge it out. Great time overall, over 6 hours of shooting.
And no, my Glock does not have stock sights, not that my TFX helped much if any. And no rapid fire, I took about 30 to 60 seconds a shot, I'm slow to get back on target.

30-60 seconds to get back on target? Is your gun physically knocking you down or something? Why is it taking you that long to get back on target?I took about 30 to 60 seconds a shot, I'm slow to get back on target.Comment
