What is the best ankle holster available for a J-frame S&W? Also what are some good IWB holsters for the J-frame and a Glock 29sf. I don't like kydex so it has to be leather. Thanks!

For IWB, I really like the Milt Sparks Summer Special, although for a revolver, it might be a bit thick. There's a bunch of imitation ones by various makers. High Noon Holster makes really nice options as well. And, though you don't like Kydex, the G Code/HSP INCOG - have one for my G19 and one for my 1911 Commander. You can wear them AIWB or at the 3-5, depending on your preference.
I've never used ankle holsters. -
Ankle Holsters for J-Frame I've Used:
Uncle Mike's: http://tinyurl.com/hq2meoa
I've used size 0, and/or size 12 for my 642 abd 640.
Galco: http://www.lapolicegear.com/gaanglho.html
I wanted the open top model. Note, I went to the galcogunleather.com website and this holster is no longer listed. It might be discontinued but still might be found online. DeSantis has a similar holster with a thumbsnap, however.
For IWB holsters, I'm only using Kydex type lately.
For the J-frame I did have a leather Galcogunleather.com IWB holster years ago. I believe back then it had a metal clip which broke.
For a G30 (same size as a G29SF holster-wise), I had donhume.com IWB holster years ago. This holster, when worn, curved at the rear opening, which made it difficult to re-holster as the trigger-guard would snag on the opening.(former) Glock and 1911 Armorer; LEO (now retired)Comment

For any type of leather holster, I always look to see if Ritchie Leather has what I'm looking for. Milt Sparks is my 2nd choice and Alessi is my 3rd choice.Originally posted by G. How about a leather lined kydex? http://www.giholsters.com/category-s/226.htm I picked up the Silent Thunder IWB Revolver holster for my 640 Pro and really like it. It is very comfortable for appendix carry.Comment

^^^I've had this on order since June 8th^^^
I've used the Uncle Mikes for a few years then switched to the Galco Ankle Glove.
I guess I'm upgrading as I go. The older I get, the less tolerant of discomfort I become.
BTW...The Galco Ankle Glove is very comfortable but is starting to fray around the Velcro and neoprene after less that 1 1/2 years. It's very secure with the thumb snap although the steel snap area is rusted. It's been ok because I wear a 340PD which doesn't rust.
I've worn this set up at work for the last 15+ years with 4" boots. Very good set up for me...I'm very limited due to my work."The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
