    Took the moms shooting today

I've been trying to get my mom to come shooting for years. She's not a complete anti, but she's not a fan of firearms and is afraid of them. She did pretty well for her first time. Once I explained safety and how the gun works, how to use it, etc, she opened up. It was funny, I had my 5inch plates with me and she was amazed I was hitting them.

In my mind I was just thinking, it's really not that impressive. Anyway, I'm glad that I at the very least opened her mind to firearms even if it was just a little bit. She even talked about getting a pistol of her own. She needs something slimmer than a Glock, she had a hard time gripping mine.(her words) She'll probably never get one, but it made me happy just to hear her talking about it.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to take her out to the "family ranch" where all our steel plates are set up at, but still had fun on public land.

    pointless thread is pointless.

Did the Moms happen to comment about what a bunch of pigs shooters are?

Good man........ Now WTF is going on there, look at that mess.

          Where is this at?

Maybe we need a group clean up.
Let us hope our weapons are never needed --but do not forget what the common people knew when they demanded the Bill of Rights: An armed citizenry is the first defense, the best defense, and the final defense against tyranny. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government -- and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws."

Yup-and you better pray she does not break a nail in the future while shooting- you'll never hear the end of it. That might just cost you a trip to her nail salon to get it fixed! Ha! That aside, am glad to see her shooting and thankful that you are a good son. A good lookin' mum, and one now to be rekon'd with.
                  God Bless...

well, she wouldn't have gone shooting if he had told her the fake glue-on nails had to go. I'd probably be forced to hold it like that as well if I had 1 inch nails sticking out on all fingers. lol

She kept raising it up, despite how many times I told her.

It reminds me of Lytle Creek 30 years ago.

Actually her real nails, but still ridiculous. Trust me I made a comment about how unpractical they are soon as she complained about how they were getting in the way.

They're real good for leaving scratch/gouge marks on an attacker.
