    Ruger SP101 questions...

Does anybody know if the .22 and .38 version grip frames are the same? If so I'm wanting to buy both calibers and get a Crimson Trace laser grip to switch back and forth. I'm thinking it would be useful for training new shooters, letting them get comfortable shooting the .22 and then transition to the .38 for home defense. Matter of fact I haven't looked yet to see if they are on the roster.

    I "think" so.
Think being the operative word here.
When I bought after markets for my 357 I told the guy it was the 357 and not the 22lr.
He shrugged and said it didn't matter they were the same ..............
And I seen no markings on the package saying which sp101 they were for.

Point of impact will be different , you will have to re-sight your laser every time.

If it's for home defense / training it shouldn't matter. Point and shoot.
