No double stack Sig in 10mm?

Why did Sig only release a 8 round 10mm handgun? I'm in the market for a 10mm for wilderness protection when I move to Colorado and it seems my only option is Glock. In a situation with bears and mountain lions being a possibility I'd like as much firepower as possible. If Sig made a 10mm with the capacity of their 40s I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Does anyone know if they have plans to make a high capacity 10mm?

If you want as much firepower as possible why don't you buy something more powerful than 10mm, like a .44mag. I've read reports of .44mag being found flattened against bear skulls, only penetrating the skin. You think 10mm is a good choice?

I'd prefer a semi auto that's easily carried. A 44 mag is a big gun and a snub nose isn't easy to shoot and I'm limited to 6 rounds. It'd be more for cougars since I also plan on having bear mace since it's more effective. The 10mm would be back up. And with bears you aim for the shoulders or the snout. You ain't getting through the forehead.

You say you want a pistol to do a little plinking. Try a Witness Match or Witness Stock. Go to the range or your favorite shooting place and discover why it is just p

Or wait till you get to Colorado and pick up a used S&W 1006,1076, or 1086.

Only gets you 9+1 but every round counts.

I don't think many people could fit their hands around a grip strong enough to hold up to 10mm and doublestacked.

Or get the Witness pictured above and let me know how it holds up.

Colorado max is 15 rds? Go glock 20.

A 200gr WFNGC going 1200fps is going to make two holes in just about anything in NA. I think the 10mm Glocks are the ultimate trail guns.

Another option if CO allows threaded barrels is get a G21 and buy a 460 Rowland Conversion. The threaded option is important in this kit so you can take the comp off to field strip and clean the gun. This option will not be a great deal heavier than the G20 option (maybe a little bit lighter) and gives you everything you might get in a .44RM with more rounds (it is not like you are going to have enough time to empty a magazine in any case).

You already implied you're not really interested in Glocks for that purpose, but I will say I am extremely happy with my G29. It's so light you forget it's there, and with Underwood loads it's about as powerful as a .41mag (700-800fte), and only a little shy of .44mag (800-1200fte). Double-stacked mags hold 10rds with flush-mags, or 15rds using the compatible G20 mags. Obviously, G20 is the other good choice, but I don't have any experience with that one. Just saying, I wouldn't completely write off the 10mm Glocks just yet.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

That looks interesting but I'll probably stick with Glock since I know they will work. I've honestly never heard of Tanfoglio lol. Looks like a CZ.

The 220 frame is only single stack. They'd have to use the 227 frame. I've been waiting for a 220 10mm DA/SA conversion kit, but Sig says not at this time. I don't see a 227 10mm in the immediate future. Perhaps a Desert Eagle converted to 50 cal?

No I am interested in Glocks. I'm probably getting a Glock 20. I just meant if Sig had a 15 round 10mm I'd like that more is all.

Bill not a glock fan. But considering this will be a sidearm and probably take some abuse, I'd rather beat up a polymer than my delta elite.

It's a cz clone but it's basically like getting one upgraded from cz custom or Cajun. You're missing out dude they're fantastic shooters with the capacity you crave.
