      I'm not sure but it sounds like the guide rod is a 2-piece? If 2-piece, using an allen wrench should separate the halves.

      If it is one piece you should need to push the guide rod forward, with slide removed, and then capture the spring by plugging a pin into a small hole allowing the barrel to be removed.
