    357/44 Bain & Davis

I was at a gun show this weekend and picked up a never fired 9mm cylinder for a Ruger 9mm/357 Convertible for $35.00, how could I go wrong there? I have had a 357/44 B&D on my bucket list for some time, since I already own the 9mm/357 Convertible. Other that Bain Davis in San Gabriel who else converts Ruger Blackhawk 9mm cylinders to 357/44 B&D?

    Cheers,

I have no idea but now I want one.

One of those calibers you don't hear much about these days, as most are too young. I recall from many years ago that Cylinder & Slide could machine out the existing cylinder and ensure that the action was properly timed, and one of my old Speer (#10) loading manuals lists loading data. The Ruger action is very strong, and would be Ideal for this conversion.

I am not sure if anyone does it anymore in the last 35 years or so. The RCBS reloading manual had data in their 1981 book. I once considered doing a T/C barrel in 357/44 B&D.
