Looking to convert cz75 to SA

As the title says. However I would like a little more information as to what goes into converting, I was debating between sending it to cz custom or cgw as they both get awesome reviews, I would like to know the est turn around time, pricing, and what parts were exactly changed...

    Thank you.

This is very easy to do yourself. All you need to do is order the SA trigger, replace the trigger that's in the gun and remove the double action disconnector from the hammer strut. I did this plus hammer, adjustable sear, filling pin lifter are removal and more myself. If you have even the most basic of mechanical knowledge you can it in about 45 mins to an hour and save a ton of money.

Looking to convert CZ75 to SA

I've been thinking of doing the same with mine. I like the gun but don't like the std. trigger. Ducky 0811, did the SA conversion make a noticeable improvement in the SA trigger pull? I spoke with someone at CZ Custom who said the only difference I'd see in changing the std. 75 B trigger to SA is that it results in a SA only trigger but doesn't really smooth out the pull.

I had the same experience speaking with CGW ( I think ) about turning my SP-01 Shadow into SA only. He basically said that there's no benefit other than having a SA only flat trigger.

I saw a dramatic improvement in the trigger pull, but that's because I changed to the cgw hammer and adjustable sear aswell. SA pull under 3 lbs.

I also removed the firing pin block and lifter arm, replaced it with the spacer. I was able to tune the trigger with pretravek and over travel screws to virtually zero over travel and maybe 3-4mm of take up in the trigger, much like a two stage rifle trigger. Reset is very short and there is virtually zero creep in the break.

I wanted to do this on my sp_01. I talked to David @ CGW....he told me it's easy to do since I have already have a "little" experience when I change my TS to straight trigger....I order the Defensive package and straight trigger for a total of $277.....I also ask them If they can send me a ring trigger for the race trigger. The package will be here today! I can't wait to install it....though I'm not planning to get rid of the FPB......ducky, I may need to advice here......thanks for all the info and inputs.

Is it necessary to remove or not put in the disconnector when I install the new hammer?

Feel free to pm me with any questions, if you're not taking the sear cage apart then it's pretty strait forward.

If you're keeping the double action feature then leave it in, if warping to SAO, you can leave it is but it may effect reset, if you're changing the hammer out anyways, just knock the pin out and remove it.

On a second note, is it possible to add in one of the straight triggers and adjust it so that here is Minimal travel or creep, and a short reset??

Using the cgw SAO trigger, hammer/sear combo, removing the double action disco and firing pin block/replacing lifter arm with spacer will do this. I did this to my cz97b ammount 2 months after owning it having never taken the gun all the way down before with some simple hand tools and some patience.

                        Thank you.
                        I had CZ 75b SA, and now I have CZ 75 B
                        DA.

                        There's no difference in trigger
                        pull in my experience.

I'm happy I switched as now I have DA.

Ducky I have installed mine today, I think i did all good, but I question, I tried the "pencil test", it did not shoot the pencil out, it just move a little bit, but on my TS it would fly out. Is this normal?....im also emailing David from CGW tomorrow.

Did you change the hammer spring? If not, I wouldn't worry. I dropped mine down to 13lb and it did the same thing pointed strait up. Horizontally it came out though. 100% ignition.

I like the beaver tail on the SA much more than the one on the 75b.

When going SA only, it is much easier, and cheaper to get the gun setup with a short reset.
