I can appreciate the effort, but without milling out the magwell and magazine release its rather pointless. Maybe there's something I'm missing?
ETA: As mentioned in the article, this pistol is setting precedence. Maybe a future product will make sense of this paperweight?Last edited by IVth Horseman; 06-24-2016, 11:47 PM.Comment

I have to agree with this. You're gonna spend at least as much time on this abomination as you would on an 80%, you gotta pay for a pistol grip you're going to be replacing, you're paying for the R&D behind this and it's a manufacturer based in CA so you'll be covering quite a bit of overhead.
I choose the little/local guy when I can but in this instance when it can and will be used as an excuse for the libs policies being reasonable, I have to say not just no but hell noUnless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. This just f***** our case for over turning the handgun roster .. For what? A stupid receiver without a magwellComment

The other day I saw LGS selling what looked like a lower, but without a magazine well and labeled "80%" - no wonder he has to give 80% discount when selling such faulty stuff...

Here are the positives:
1. First AR to be approved by the AG.
2. There still is not a law against gunsmithing.
3. A black one will be available next month.
4. Now that it is on the list, it can be grandfathered goIng forward.
5. This is a stepping stone to new projects that the DOJ has not seen coming. They've just opened Pandora's Box!
Incidentally, CADOJ is perpetuating a lie again. They were previously advised by Jason Davis that rostered pistols do not envoke exemption requirements. Yet they are quoting CPC section 32100 (b) next to our listing. They are about to get a black eye for that since they are obviously trying to saddle our product with requirements that certainly do not apply. The exemption is a completely different process compared to paying to be on the roster. They took my money. They should play by the rules. It will be interesting to see if they claim ignorance, forgetfulness, or flat out arrogantly ignore the law in favor of their own unsubstantiated opinion.
By the way, the pink color was in honor of certain CADOJ special agent supervisor. We were mocking him to get him to approve it. To our surprise it worked! It seems that the department has mocked us back by posting photos after we did a press release. When have we ever seen photos on a roster listing?
We will have to see what department personnel have to say next week when our counsel starts forming a case of business interference against CADOJ. Stay tuned. ....should be fun.sigpic

Actually no. I checked with Jason Davis to see if this would be a problem. He assures me that it would not.
