Well I was just doing draw drills with my milspec, and something odd happened. I've always thought the safety was quite hard to engage/disengage, along with how difficult it is to reassemble (see the small scratch mark). But this was my first 1911 so I didn't think anything of it.
Anyhow, this happened

I literally cannot move the safety selector because it's being blocked by the retention pin (whatever that part is called)
I have to use an object to push it in, then I can move the safety. It's done this multiple times.
What can I do to fix this? I don't know much about 1911s
Edit: it does it every single time now. It's never had this problem and I've put maybe 500 rounds down this gun.
