    LNIB Sig P226 West German

I bought this several years ago when I lived in Texas. Is there a collector market for these? What would be the value of one of these? I assume being off roster, old, and in perfect condition it is more desirable than a brand new one.

There is a "collectors market" for just about anything these days. If your question is if someone might want to buy it, then the answer is yes.

The only way to find out is to go ahead and post an ad in the marketplace.

As far as value, consider that a new made in USA P226 with the stupid LCI, no night sights retails for $800 before tax. So $800 +$200 off roster premium + $200 made in Germany premium = $1200 at the bare minimum.

a P226 in good to excellent condition made in germany is $900 or so. LNIB condition would exceed that. $1,200 is certainly not out of the question, especially since everything is in original condtion, but would probably be the upper limit of what you could get. Fair price to sell it in a reasonable amount of time? $1,100 I would say

Most collectors also want the original box, with manual, and test target.

I had a 1991 West German p226 given to me by my uncle. Put it up for sale a few years ago and got an offer of $1,400. When the buyer found out I didn't have the box, manual, or target, the offer went all the way down to $800.

All pieces are there except the target. Apparently the 15rd mags are an issue if I wanted to sell.

Collectors are picky people. Good luck.

Here are some sunlight pictures that show some common wear areas.

If you're going to sell it, put all the pics in the Marketplace and see what you can get for it.
