    HK45C shooting low

Just took my new hk45c to the range and I kept shooting low with it. This is my first hammer fired/45acp pistol. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Might be a lot of things from trigger control to grip. How are you shooting with your other DA/SA?

HK's use point of aim as point of impact. If you are used to a 6 o'clock hold you will shoot low with a HK.

You are pointing the barrel too low. Try aiming a little higher.

How about if I change it to don't comment if you're not going to be useful?

Same thing with my Elite.....till I found out it's set up for a 12 oclock hold from the factory then it was ding ding ding on the steel plate at 35yds.

HKs are configured for Sight Image 3. Any other method of aiming (1 or 2) you will shoot low.

Depends outdoor or indoor... use sandbags or table... and shoot 3 rounds of point of impact and 6 o'clock hold..

How low and from what distance? I can help you diagnose the problem but need more details.

First, use sight image #3. Second, I suggest that you work on key culprit, anticipation and trigger control. Yes, trigger control too since I have experienced the same with trigger control.

You guys are probably right. This is my first 45 so that's probably the issue
