Buying a stripped glock frame?

Hello calguns, I'm interested in purchasing a striped glock frame, preferably a G17 gen 3. I'm assuming as long as its on the "roster" it should be legal to purchase correct? Has anybody done this before and if so where did you make the buy? Thanks in advance!

You are going to run into a good deal of trouble with this. Without being a complete gun it is in fact NOT on roster. To stay within the letter of the law, the gun would have to be built out to original specs and then transferred. You also run into problems with dealers wanting you to do the safe handling demo on a non complete gun. The safe handling demo could be overcome by using a glock 17 from the store's inventory. But I don't think you'll find very many shops interested in jumping through all the hoops for you for the $35-50 they make on you shipping a frame in.
