I recently picked up a High Standard R107 revolver and when using it in DA, the trigger does not reset after firing. If I lightly pull back on the hammer, everything clicks into place. I have taken it apart to the major sub groups (Receiver/barrel and trigger assembly) and cleaned and lubed it but it has made no difference in the operation. I also checked for burrs and while I found a couple that a filed down slightly, that did not help either. One thing I did notice is when I activate the trigger assembly outside the frame everything works fine, but when I re-install it in the correct position, it does not reset. I have also noticed if I put the trigger assembly in the frame, but slightly offset (1/32") low and the rear, it works fine. It seems to me there is binding between frame and trigger assembly, but I cannot see any odd wear marks.
This is my first revolver and so I am still learning, but was hoping someone had an idea on what I should check or look for. If needed I can take pics if I know what to take them of.
