    cz75 tang

I took my 75b to the range today and I am disappointed in how the tang digs into my hand. It's outright painful after a couple of hundred rounds.

Anyone else has this problem ? Any fixes for this ?

It reminds me of my old Colt 1911 which did the same thing until I changed the beaver tail.

I have the same issue with my CZ P-01. I've just learned to embrace the scar.

The alloy frame CZ compacts (PCR and P01), along with the fullsize SP01 and CZ75 SA variant all have upswept beavertails which may be more comfortable.

The SP-01 has the upswept beaver tail. The 75 is not.

A few of my CZs ware into the web of my hand after a while. Put a band aid on it and keep on shooting. Think of it like a love bite.

Seriously though you can ware a glove or put a peace of tape (not scotch tape, medical type white tape works) on the web of you hand. I go for the tape method during long range sessions. You can also put a bit of tape on the lower corner of the beaver tail if you prefer. It only takes a bit. CZ models with up swept beaver tails never give me an issue (SP-01, 75SA and so on).

A P220 combat used to do that to the web of my hand. I could see how the standard 75 could do that. P-01 doesn't do it to me either. Try wearing gloves.

I've never had my hand bitten by any CZ.

You might change grip panels to see if a slight change in width changes things. I put Hogue grips with finger grooves on my 75B and 75SA replacing the stock plastic panels. I run the stock rubber panels on my P-01 and SP-01. I do get a trigger slap from the 75B but not the others.

The use of gloves has been mentioned and there is always the choice to sell the gun which should be easy to do.

Some like straight tails and some like curved tails but we like a little tail.

Hmm... Interesting, never had any issues like that. I find my 75 b and SP-01 to be most comfortable hand guns.

I have had the trail rub the web of my hand one time when I was drawing in class and I was under the timer. Didn't have time to correct it. Gave me an Indian burn.

200 buckz and a good gunsmith took care of my compact 75 problems
