    Sig P229 .40 conversion to 9 mm?

    Hi.

I have a Sig P229 in .40 and was wondering if there is a way to convert it to 9 mm? Will switching the barrel and recoil guide tube work?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Will have to replace the whole top side and get the Mags.

Guns for sale. Gun Parts for Sig Sauer, Heckler & Koch, AR-15, Glock, 1911 parts. Your top gun supply superstore!

    Sig P228/229 Replacement Barrel - 9mm
    SKU: 34280168

Replacement barrel for your P228 or P229 9mm. These are factory SIGARMS drop-in barrels. Not for use in a 357SIG or .40S&W Slide.

    Not worth the cost IMHO

    Just buy another SIG

Get the 9mm conversion barrel. You'll need to replace the barrel and ONLY the barrel.

          You will need mags too.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

            Sorry
            I was wrong

I believe you will also need the 9mm recoil spring.

just did mine and worth the money
                you will need 9mm mag
                bar sto conversion barrel
                and a 15 ld (9mm recoil spring)
I bought the wolff spring and it caused the guide rod to tilt
ended up going with the sig spring and problem went away

Barsto conversion barrels are good, but on occasion they may need fitting. I have three conversion barrels and only one needed fitting. Barsto will fit them for your for the price of shipping, if you don't feel comfortable fitting your own.
