    Will O'Hara sight install

Just wanted to share the great experience I had with Will O'Hara. I removed the adjustable sight that came on my full rail TRP but didn't want to mess up installing the new one. Will took the job at a very reasonable price and had it ready to be picked up 3 days later. Very happy with how it turned out. If you are looking for 1911 or S&W work I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Will is the best, hands-down. I know of no other master gunsmith that will take the time to not only do the job but also educate you about your pistol. I have spent countless hours listening to him talk about 1911s, and it has not only deepened my understanding but also my love for these pistols!

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

Yea, for such a small job he spoke to me for quite some time. Great communication which is always nice. My wallet is a little disappointed to realize that he lives less than 10 minutes from me though

I had Will work on my new Kimber that I wanted to through against the wall because the constant failure to feed with different types of ammo.

My Kimber is my favorite 45 to shoot now and has been extremely reliable, Will is the man!

OP, you could change the rear sight yourself, any no brainer could do that

Yep, Will is the man. I have a new Kimber that I need to have him do a trigger job on and sight install.

I'm sure I could have but for what he charged I wasn't going to mess with it. The first one I fit myself won't be on a pistol I like as much as this one

Gonna sound like a broken record here but Will is a great guy, I had a very similar experience with him. We talked about all sorts of stuff when I dropped off and picked up my gun. I dropped it off for a simple reliability package, and he ended up having to do a good bit of work including some milling to get these solid, price did not change. He is a craftsman for sure.

I need to drop off one of my colts with him and have the thumb safety dialed in. Its pretty crummy feeling.

Curious did you go with the 10-8 front sight or keep the oem?

                        Second that.

All black and U notch is the best and most useful for accurate shooting.

Yes, for slow fire shooting like bullseye events black is best. However, for action pistol shooting all black is too slow to acquire so a fiber optic or high visibility sight is almost a necessity.
